Test pumping a
borehole is a controlled field experiment to assess:
- Yield of the borehole
-
Quality of the water (via sample collection)
- Depth
of the pump
-
Aquifer Performance
The two standard
types of test pumping
are:
- For hand pump
boreholes :
3 hrs continuous at flat rate of 800 l/hr plus recovery;
- For production
boreholes:
3 steps of 90 minutes each, followed by 72 hrs continuous
plus recovery up to 95% of the original water level.
Test
pumping is extremely important, so any new and rehabilitated
boreholes need this service.
We can provide test
pumping services for boreholes yielding up to 40,000 l/hr.
